THEATR GWAUN is planning on celebrating the latest Star Wars installment, ‘The Last Jedi’, in style.
Christmas decorations will be augmented by light sabres and talking robots in preparation for the latest adventure in the Star Wars universe.
Just in case you need a recap – or just want to get thoroughly in the mood, on Wednesday, December 13, Theatr Gwaun is showing episode seven, ‘The Force Awakens’ (12A) at 9.30pm, followed by the first showing of ‘The Last Jedi’ (12A), at one minute past midnight, so you can be one of the first people in the whole galaxy (far far away) to immerse yourself in the everlasting battle between dark and light, as Rey’s intergalactic journey continues.
Following on from the events of ‘The Force Awakens’, ‘The Last Jedi’ sees Rey (Daisy Ridley) continue her epic journey from humble beginnings as a scavenger on Jakku to becoming entangled with the First Order. In the next chapter of the Star Wars saga, Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac), and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) continue their odyssey, as their friendship bonds grow ever stronger.
There are numerous showings at Theatr Gwaun until December 31 (check theatrgwaun.com for times) but you won’t want to miss out on Star Wars parties – a chance to dress up and celebrate, on December 15.
At 4pm there’s a children’s party, complete with a fancy-dress competition and non-alcoholic cocktails, and at 7:30pm it’s the adults’ turn, with the alcohol being put back in the drinks!
Don’t miss what has become a festive fixture at Theatr Gwaun, and join them for the ultimate fight against the dark side.
